A leading regional PERE firm seeks a new VP of Asset & Portfolio Management to oversee activities in its retail & leisure focused funds.    


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct real estate market research & analysis, asset valuation and make recommendations to senior management on feasibility of new investment projects with a focus on APAC
  • Develop and present sophisticated financial models, valuation, etc. to validate and make recommendations to senior management on the economic viability of projects
  • Create and present detailed investment proposals for investment committee review and approval
  • Lead due diligence and deal execution
  • Involve in capital market activities: foster long-term relationships with existing and prospective investors, assist in deal negotiations, term sheets drafting, legal documentation review, facilitate investors due diligence process (e.g. manage virtual data room), deal execution and investment closing
  • Generate business ideas, analyse real estate investment opportunities, and make investment recommendations
  • Work closely with senior team members on strategy and negotiations
  • Monitoring ongoing investment, up to and including at the Board level

Preferred Skills

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in PERE firms
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the real estate industry
  • Experience in alternative Real Estate sectors: data centre, travel & leisure, co-working space is an advantage
  • Experience in the formulation and management of Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is an advantage
  • A demonstrated leader with exceptional communication skills, attitude & work ethic
  • Strong presentation, research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills
  • Detail oriented & excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, proactive, and hardworking
  • Strong interpersonal, marketing and negotiating skills
  • Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
  • Exceptionally skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in legal / tax / deal structuring would be advantageous
