Aurex Group is an executive search firm working on behalf of a top solar energy technical consultancy. 

The company provides solar equipment manufacturing quality assurance services and engineering services (design, design audit, owner’s engineering) for solar power generation development through the full cycle including design, construction, and commissioning.  Its client base includes banks, infrastructure investors, project developers, independent power producers, EPCs, and photovoltaic power plant owners.

The Sales Representative for for Asia Pacific will:

  • Support execution of the company’s Asia Pacific business development initiatives
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing target client lists
  • Generate a loyal client-base, retain clients, and manage key relationships
  • The initial geographic focus will be on Southeast Asia and Australia
  • This role reports to the Senior Business Development Manager

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop proposals and close orders with new and existing clients
  • Establish long-term partnerships with clients
  • Generate new industry partners such as testing labs
  • Manage project engagements, ensuring client satisfaction to result in on-going, retainer work
  • Initiate and expand relationships with international and Hong Kong banks and investors to fund solar projects
  • Participate in industry tradeshows, seminars, and speaking engagements and build relationships with broader solar industry and energy storage professionals
  • Oversee deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development activities to close orders
  • Coordinate with in-house quality assurance engineers
  • Coordinate with other commercial team members in the Americas, Asia, and Europe along with external partners to execute project engagements for clients in the APAC region
  • Collaborate and cultivate relationships with external partners and industry insiders
  • Represent the company at high-level, client-facing meetings and other engagements, and manage communications among clients, employees and project stakeholders
  • Actively participate in, as well as supervise the drafting of project deliverables and follow-up materials and reports
  • Support all aspects of business development and deal execution to achieve quarterly/annual sales goals


  • 5+ years of professional experience in sales or business development in Asia
  • Strong network in Asia across developers, EPCs, IPPs, and/or lenders
  • Knowledge of modules, inverters, racking and the solar industry as well as battery storage
  • Must be open to 50% travel or more
  • Project management experience in a consulting, market research, or services-based business
  • Fluent in English in order to liaise with American and European co-workers, knowledge in other languages is a plus as the geographic coverage of this role will encompass numerous Southeast Asian countries and clients
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and amidst uncertainty
  • Bachelor’s Degree; background in engineering / technical / business administration is preferred.
