Senior Quantity Surveyor 

 

Our client is a highly respected leader in cost consulting in particular they are a renowned services provider in quantity surveying on the international scale. They have a rich list of projects in their portfolio, including mega commercial, residential, shopping mall, mixed use, community and government type development. They are a premium employer, where employees’ welfare and career progress is important to them.   
 
Recently, they have successfully embarked on number of new large scale projects in Singapore and they are currently seeking a Senior quantity surveyor. They are seeking individuals with sounded knowledge in construction costing along with BOQ and estimating talents. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:  

  • Work independently and co-ordinate with in-house teams, contractors and clients for the project related activities 
  • Advise project team on cost effective and value-added improvement works 
  • Monitoring of procurement process including tendering, recommendation and contract award 
  • Administration of payment process, variations costs, claims and final account 
  • Prepare monthly financial 
  • Be responsible for cost planning, cost control, procurement management, construction cost management and the associated reporting duties of alteration and addition projects 
  • Liaise and coordinate with departments and external auditors in respect of the audit, compliance, financial matters and etc. 
  • Manage and monitor consultants and contractors performance in costs and contractual aspects

To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:  

  • Degree holder 
  • Qualified member of the MRICS or MHKIS would be advantageous  
  • experience in at least 2 of the below – corporate real estate, data center, Industrial or hospitality 
  • Green and Brownfield site experience 
  • Client Facing 
  • Min. 5 years or above working experience in large projects
  • Solid site experience, overseeing a project from commencement to completion is an advantage
  • Prior experience with developers and QS consultancy would be advantageous
