Job Description:
The Development Manager will be responsible for the full range of development activities from project inception through to the commencement of construction for C&I Solar.

Activities will cover all aspects of development including the identification of new development opportunities, securing rooftops, obtaining consents, community consultation and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop C&I Solar Projects
  • Ensure projects are developed in accordance with policies and procedures and in accordance with local and national laws
  • Utilize internal and external resources to deliver quality projects 
  • Apply Project Management principals to all aspects of the project
  • Deliver assigned tasks on time, budget and to agreed quality
  • Negotiate and secure lease agreements with rooftop owners to provide appropriate rights to develop, construct and operate solar PV systems
  • Secure grid availability and manage aspects of the grid connection process
  • Maintain effective communication with all external stakeholders and the project team
  • Prepare and present progress reports to internal management
  • Coordinate the technical aspects of the due diligence process
  • Review early stage opportunities and assess project viability

Skill/Background Requirements 

  • 2+ years solar power development experience in Vietnam
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the renewable energy industry, policy and regulations
  • Experience working with government agencies (MOIT, EVN, and local level agencies)
  • Strong understanding of the development process including site identification, constraints analysis, grid connection and permitting process in Vietnam
  • 20%+ travel within Vietnam
  • Vietnamese and English fluency is a must in order to liaise with local colleagues and international colleagues

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
