Position:              Onshore Substation Civil Engineer
Reports to:         Onshore Team Leader
Location:             Taipei, Taiwan

Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage and supervise various aspects of Civil/Structure scope including drawing and structural calculation for civil, structures, and buildings
  • Prepare and review documents related to site preparation, soil investigation, piling design, foundation and upper structure design, loading for equipment foundation, steel structures, and buildings
  • Review tender proposals and provide comments
  • Review design drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and various studies/reports in support of subcontractor proposals
  • Participate in negotiations with the Onshore Team Leader
  • Collaborate with other departments such as WTG and PMO to ensure alignment on schedule, etc

 
 
Preferred skills and Technical Requirements
 

  • Formal training or degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years experience with onshore substation development, planning, and construction
  • 5+ years experience with renewable energy substations, ideally offshore wind
  • Fluency in written and spoken English in order to liaise with multinational teammates, subcontractors, partners, and consultancies
  • Experience overseeing and managing work performed by subcontractors
