Our client is an international consulting firm with an established reputation in their sector. In line with planned growth for the APAC region, and to capitalise on recent project success, we are now searching for a Head of Data Centres for their Singapore business. 

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the growth and delivery of Data Centre projects across Singapore and South East Asia, these can include fit out, renovation, a&a works as well as some new build. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage multiple complex projects concurrently and at different stages of development.
  • Manage and maintain the team for successful delivery of major capital projects.
  • Supervise and provide technical support to the team members to ensure the effective operations of the team.
  • Initial and ongoing consultation / technical advice to end users and development of project brief documents clearly articulating the key objectives and scope of the Project(s).
  • Internal co-ordination on matters such as education, human resources, finance, communication and admissions to ensure that project deliverables are achieved.
  • Appoint and manage consultants throughout the entire project life-cycle.
  • Planning, scheduling and managing the processes for major projects within budget, on time and to standards for quality and applicable statutory requirements. 
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Government on matters of possible funding, statutory requirements and other matters associated with major projects.
  • Contribute, as a member of the team to the strategic development of the Organization and Department and to building constructive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Meet with end users and consultants on a regular basis to discuss status of projects, determine client satisfaction and respond to any problems and concerns;

Requirements: 

  • Recognised degree in Building, Project Management, Surveying or relevant discipline with membership of a Professional Association preferable.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects in Asia with a keen understanding of the working environment.
  • Min. 10 years of relevant working experience with a proven leadership capability. This includes winning new work in a project consulting environment.
  • Project management in design management is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills
