Key Responsibilities:
The Foundations Engineer will work closely with the Senior Foundations Engineer to supervise work on the design and procurement of foundations for an offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Management of post-award EPC contract and subcontractor agreements
  • Support the process of preparing and chairing BoP package meetings
  • Follow up on various workstreams within the package
  • Support arranging approvals on issues that have monetary impact on the project
  • Monitor development expenditures
  • Proactively alert the management to any risk of cost overruns
  • Work with management and subcontractors to minimize risk and cost overruns
  • Work closely with subcontractors to assess gravity base stability
  • Validate soil and sea floor profiling and geotechnical profiling
  • Oversee pile drivability studies
  • Validate pile design
  • Responsible for overseeing design of offshore monopile foundations, jacket/tripod piles, and tension anchors
  • Later in the project phase, oversee execution by contractors of foundations, piles, and anchors
  • Assist in supplier audits and contract management support

Preferred skills and Technical Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering, construction, or project execution stage of offshore marine projects
  • Structural or civil engineering background
  • Speak and write English fluently in order to liaise with teammates and superiors internationally
  • Not required, but could be advantageous to speak and write in business Mandarin fluently in order to vet contracts and negotiate with vendors in Taiwan
  • Experience managing multiple workflows within a package simultaneously
  • Experience managing EPC, civil works, and logistics beneficial
