Job Functions:
Reporting to the Country Manager, the Investment Director will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities, developing investment recommendations and executing fund commitments.  The role will focus on developing their portfolio in China, and the candidate’s ability to source attractive investment opportunities within office and retail assets is essential.  
The Real Estate Investment Director will:

  • Conduct/Oversee financial modeling for existing assets and provide assistance in monitoring the development budgets versus actual expenditures
  • Prepare and present investment proposals and investment reporting for the Group’s Investment Committee 
  • Explore and research potential new investment opportunities within Logistics, Office and Retail assets.
  • Work through tax, legal and structuring issues of acquisitions and divestments to find best possible solutions
  • Assist in the analysis and coordination of new acquisitions and development opportunities led by the acquisition team
  • Thoroughly test investment metrics against key targets and sensitivity factors
  • Liaise with all internal departments and investors for new acquisitions opportunities, divestment opportunities and market intelligence
  • Prepare presentations for the Partners, Managing Director and Investors

To be considered for this position, you must be able demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Over 8 years of experience in real estate acquisition ideally acquiring office and retail assets across tier 1 cities in China
  • Deep technical knowledge so as to be able to conduct detailed property analysis
  • Significant negotiation and execution experience
  • Financial and tax structuring experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, surveying or property related disciplines; MBA a plus.
  • Fluent in Mandarin
