Our Client
As an offshore wind developer, our client develops both fixed bottom offshore wind and floating offshore wind power development projects.  It has successfully delivered over 10 offshore wind projects globally.

Main Responsibility
Director of Stakeholder Relations:

  • Establish and implement stakeholder and communications strategy at local and national levels
  • Develop close working relationships with all relevant Government bodies, authorities, key stakeholders and influencers at national, regional and local level relevant to policies affecting offshore wind
  • Lobby and influence policymakers and influencers
  • Build alliances with relevant industry groups and other interested parties to advance offshore wind development such as EPCs, consultancies, professional associations, chambers of commerce, fisheries, local community groups
  • Participate in and organize conferences, round table discussions, or other stakeholder engagement events or communication channels
  • Keep abreast of changes in government regulations and policies such as power production targets, permitting, supply chain localizaton, RECs, grid connection, transmission and advise team members accordingly
  • Lead meetings and negotiations with Government and external stakeholders such as MOTIE, MOE, MOF


Must Have

  • 2+ years previous experience in lobbying, government relations, media management, or similar role
  • 10+ years overall professional work experience
  • Experience developing major infrastructure projects, ideally including offshore in South Korea
  • Proven, verifiable network with relevant stakeholders, government officials
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and lobbying skills.
  • Proven track record of delivery
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English and Korean in order to deal with local government, local media, international media, and international team members

Nice to Have

  • Experience in energy or renewables
  • A mix of public and private sector experience
  • Knowledge of the permitting regime for large infrastructure projects
  • Innovative/creative solutions-based thinker
  • Willing to travel extensively for meetings in local communities at potential project sites across South Korea
