Aurex Group (formerly Capstone Recruitment) has been engaged by a globally recognised professional services firm to identify an executive leader for their China business. Focused on the real estate sector, this firm is re-investing in the continued growth of the China platform as it continues to lead the Asia Pacific market.
The position is newly created and will take the sales, business development and client strategy across all services lines in China. Working closely with the China and regional C-suite of the firm, the Head of Client Development will ultimate be accountable for developing and delivering the sales strategy for China. 

The Role

As the Head of Client Development, you will:

  • Proactively build a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Leverage internal business, client base and sales platform at the local, regional and global levels to develop a co-ordinated business development programme
  • Define and develop go to market strategies
  • Partner with marketing teams to develop sales collateral, including;
    • Value proposition
    • Media content and messaging
    • Product and knowledge management
  • Report on and develop metrics related to sales pipelines, performance and progress
  • Lead complex and client pursuits
  • Support and develop sales programmes for target geographies and specialist sectors

The successful candidate will proactively design and build a sales programme for the future and will be proven in successful selling. The ability to evaluate sales opportunities and to build a strong business pipeline are important criteria for success. 

The Head of Client Development must be able to build a personal profile as a Subject Matter Expert. They should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage and effectively influence a network of stakeholders, real estate and procurement professionals and diverse cultures.

The Person

The Head of Client Development is a key, market-facing representative of the company. As such, you should demonstrate the following previous experience:

  • A successful track record in developing and executing sales strategies in a professional services environment;
  • The ability to influence commercially successful outcomes through astute negotiation;
  • Previous experience to leverage a variety of internal networks and referrals, personal relationships and new business development initiatives to successfully build a sales pipeline;
  • An understanding of professional services and business-to-business marketing strategies including the utilisation of various media to achieve market penetration.
  • Previous experience in an functional leadership of APAC would be advantageous.
