PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FOREIGN EXPERT PER THE PROJECT CONTRACT  THUS, CANDIDATES MUST HOLD A FOREIGN PASSPORT (NOT PAKISTAN)

This is a large scale hydropower plant totalling over 1,500MW which can be expanded to over 3,500MW in the future.  Our client has been engaged for detailed engineering and consulting services which are scheduled to run from 2021 to 2026.

The scope will include construction of the main hydraulic structure, power generation facilities, tunnelling, preparatory works for roads, installation of transmission lines, and finally, social and environmental monitoring.

Position Overview:
This position is the #2 position on the Contracts & Claims team reporting directly to the Head of Contracts & Claims.  You will work mainly with FIDIC contracts and provide oversight and management of all contracts related to the engineering and consulting portions of this project.

Requirements:
20+ years overall work experience
Must have a civil engineering degree
10+ years in contract and construction management
Experience in FIDIC, especially Red Book
Experience in control and management of a contract team for at least 1 project

Nice to have:
Experience with a World Bank-sponsored project preferable
Masters degree
Some legal coursework or qualification
Hydro experience highly preferred

Other notes:
Two-week unpaid home leave shall be taken every 3 months
Home-leave flights paid by employer
On-site housing provided
Project will last until 2026. Employment is contract-basis.
