The Role
The Business Development Manager can be based in either Hong Kong or Shanghai and will be responsible for the following duties:

Business Development

  • Actively explore potential sales channels for Australian properties, develop and implement online and offline sales strategies with channels to achieve sales targets
  • Provide comprehensive support and training to sales channels in relations to marketing of Australian properties
  • Assist channels on closing deals by understanding buyers’ needs and recommending the appropriate projects and providing outstanding customer service
  • Lead the communication, promotion and training activities with various channels
  • Monitor channels’ performance and evaluate its potential via market research, market intelligence, and competitor data to support above-listed tasks
  • Manage and retain lasting relationships with channels as well as deepen the collaboration with existing partners

Marketing & General Supporting

  • Oversee the production of all marketing materials and publications in China
  • Support sales collaboration in various organizational levels
  • Execute and uphold the company’s Customer Service Standards and Brand Standards
  • Communicate effectively with the International Sales Director on a daily basis and with various department heads to accurately deliver corporate message to partners and buyers
  • Develop, maintain, and be accountable for budgets, provide timely and accurate reports

To be considered for this position, you must be able demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Applicants must have 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of relevant experience selling foreign properties into APAC and more specifically HK and China, with particular emphasis on Australian property
  • Experience in developing business plans and implementing marketing initiatives and/or knowledge and in-depth understanding of marketing and event management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and build long-lasting relationships with key partners
  • Possess highly developed time management and organizational skills with the ability to give attention to details, prioritize tasks, adhere to tight deadlines, while dealing with conflicting and varied demands in a mature and professional manner
  • Maintain an attitude that is proactive, professional, positive, open and energetic
  • Proven ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders such as corporate directors, buyers, agencies and suppliers
  • Ability to work under pressure both autonomously and as a team player
